LA

Since moving to Los Angeles in 1999, Perry has been a sought after drummer in LA’s world famous music scene. The Artists and players that he’s worked for and with are listed on the HOME page. Besides numerous studio dates, Perry has played the House of Blues, Disneyland, DisneyWorld,FL, Sea World, BB. King’s, Knott's Berry Farm, The Mint, Cozy's, Highland Center, Roxy, The Rainbow and Pig n' Whistle in Hollywood among others.

TOURING

Perry has toured Europe, as well as Canada and most all of the United States. HIghlights are; Equiblues Festival in St. Agreve France, with The Doo Wah Riders; the Nottoden Blues Festival in Norway, The Potevedra, and Corzola,Spain with Blues Artist Janiva Magness, sharing the bills with James Cotton, Keb Mo, Koko Taylor, Little Feat, Mick Fleetwood, etc; With Shakila at the Stockholm Koncerthaus- Sweden and Performing Arts Center- Toronto, Canada; New York based-Broadway shows, upright and electric bassist Steve Millhouse appearing at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

STUDIO

Solid as a rock. fluent in all styles, and grooves to a click track.  Perry is all that and a lot more.  Having worked both live and in the studio with legendary recording engineer and producer Rob Chiarelli, Perry has proved time and time again that he has right attitude, personality, and skill set to run with the big dogs. 

MUSICAL STYLES

Perry is one of those rare drummers whose experience spans nearly all genres one can think of playing.  

In ROCK Perry speaks fluent Americana, Alternative, Classic, Pop, Alt-Pop, and Rockabilly. 

R&B/SOUL; Funky, 'ol Skool, Motown, Gospel, etc. 

When it comes to the BLUES, Perry has worked with artists playing Texas, to Chicago, to New Orleans, and back up the river to the Mississippi Delta and beyond.  

As for COUNTRY, Perry spent four years on the road with the Doo Wah Riders, opening for major Country Artists including the main stage at Country Thunder two years.  

And let’s not forget JAZZ. Backing vocalists or not; Big Band, Bop, Straight -ahead, Post-Bop, and Smooth Jazz are all in his comfort zone.

Also having studied and since, played many Latin Style percussion sessions, and gigs, he's versed in Cuban, and Brazilian rhythms and styles too.
